PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Construction of a 22,000 sq. ft. garden and landscape supply commercial building featuring energy efficiency and green systems.
COMPLETED: 2009
SYLVANDALE GARDENS
Sylvandale Gardens, longtime successful garden and landscape supply company located in Phillipsville, California, was in need of a new, larger and more versatile building when they came to us in the summer of 2008. Mr. Doug Bliss, the owner, had purchased a site in the Meadows Business Park in Redway, and had a design already underway for the 22,000 square foot building when we met.
Mr. Bliss was originally looking for a price just for the metal building portion of the job, when we offered to give him a comprehensive price for the whole project. We came to a budget agreement with which he was happy, and proceeded to assist with budget and product consultation for the remainder of the design process. Building an energy efficient facility with careful attention to green systems and products was important to this client, something which is a goal of ours as well. With the client’s architect and our team, we value engineered the different aspects of the building to make it the best building possible within the budget.
FEATURES
The finished product is an energy efficient, usable building that will accommodate the client’s future expansion wherever that may lead. We appreciate the opportunity to be of service in this manner, and feel that the experience we brought to the table enhanced the outcome in many ways.
